Wow! The direction this movie decided to go. Witchouse III decided to totally disregard the first two movies all together. The only feature that is present is the idea of Lilith. Well, the good news, for me, is that I’m now done with the Witchouse franchise.

MY THOUGHTS

There’s only 2, possibly 3 kills and all are off screen. Little blood except with Rose’s death, and even then it’s not a lot. This whole movie feels more like a thriller rather than a horror movie.

The acting is, well, considering there’s only 5 actors in this movie, okay. We do get scream queen’s Debbie Rochon and Brinke Stevens. Brinke Stevens takes over the role of Lilith (don’t know why Ariauna Albright didn’t reprise her role from the other two movies). Her costumes were good. And what little we see of her she does a good job. I think she may only be in it for about 10 minutes. She is very underutilized in this movie.

Debbie Rochon plays Stevie, a gothic woman who is shooting a documentary on witchcraft. She plays Stevie really cold and reserved. Tanya Dempsey plays a woman trying to escape her abusive boyfriend and trying to reconnect with the friends she hasn’t seen in 7 months. I actually enjoyed Tina Krause as Rose the best though. She seems to understand that something is going on, but nobody believes her.

The plot is kind of bad. That is my main problem with this movie. The whole story is bad. A girl leaves her boyfriend after he hits her. She decides to stay with a couple of her old friends. That night they get drunk and decide to do some witchcraft that summons Lilith. They are then stalked by Lilith, or are they. I would have given this movie a better score if it wasn’t for the ending. Bookwalter decided to have a twist ending that came out of nowhere and just ruined the buildup prior to it.

Watch this if you're a completionist. And maybe if you just want to watch Debbie Rochon and Brinke Stevens movies. Though, just know that Brinke is barely in it. Otherwise, I would pass on this movie.

• The film's trailer reuses music from Stuart Gordon's The Pit and the Pendulum. The music in turn, was originally composed by Cristobal De Morales.

• Brinke Stevens and Debbie Rochon were supposed to fly to Delaware to shoot a werewolf movie in 2001, but it was postponed. Full Moon then grabbed them both to star in this.
