I’ve been wanting to see Winnie the Pooh Blood Honey since it was first released. I finally got to watch it. I know a lot of people were disappointed in it. All I got to say is “what were you expecting?”

Plot:

After Christopher Robin grows up and leaves for college, his animal friends become hungry. A now feral Winnie the Pooh and Piglet find another way of getting food and satisfying their blood lust.

Positives:

  • For a low budget movie, the acting was decent. Normally the acting is so bad it’s distracting. Not this time.

  • I thought the story was decent. What happens when Christopher grows up and leaves his friends.

  • I like the animation that was put into the movie. I thought it was decent.

Negatives:

  • The CGI blood wasn’t good. It was distracting.

  • A lot of the scenes were too dark to be able to see.

Overall is Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey a great movie? No, but it’s not that bad. I had fun with it. I went in wanting to see blood, kills, and at least a little bit of story to it. I got what I wanted out of it. If you like movies that put a twist (a bloody twist) on a childhood story, and you like slashers, then check this out.
