Bikini Bloodbath: Car Wash

I found Bikini Bloodbath: Car Wash while trying to set up my movie list for Summer of Trash Challenge 2023. Shout out to Rich Trash on Letterboxd for setting this challenge up. The first prompt was to watch a movie with any kind of swimwear in the title. I took one look at the cast and plot and knew I had to watch it.

Let's start with the kills. There was blood, but the kills were cheesy. The kills tend to be over the top and more comedic than horrifying. Wait till you see the third eye nipple. Being that the killer is a Chef, most of his kills have to do with a cleaver, with an occasional knife.

Well, the acting was…cheesy and a bit annoying. But then again, what would you expect in a movie called Bikini Bloodbath: Car Wash? Debbie Rochon (do I really need to list what she’s known for? Tromeo and Juliet, Witchouse 3, and a ton of other movies since she’s an original Scream Queen.) plays Miss Johnson, the lesbian owner of the bikini car wash.

We also have Rachael Robbins (known for Terror Firmer, Axe to Grind, and Brutal Massacre) playing Jenny, a college student who previously has a run in with Chef Death and is one of the more level headed bikini girls. Thomas Edward Seymour (yes, the writer/director, Return to Return to Nuke 'Em High Aka Vol. 2 and Thrill Kill Jack in Hale Manor) plays Gil, a German exchange student.

We see a group of friends attending college and doing college stuff. (Granted, most look older than what they are playing but that’s typical.) The group of female friends leave to go work at their job, a bikini car wash.

While “working” the guys try to impress them with bad breakdancing skills, and one of their professors keeps showing up like a pervert to watch the girls work. All this gets interrupted by a new girl showing up and wanting a job. No one thinks she can handle it so there is a knife off between the new girl and Miss Johnson in the style of Beat It by Michael Jackson.

Later, the girls, while at the dorm, do the stupid thing of holding a seance/playing with a makeshift Ouija board. They are trying to contact a dead friend of theirs and mistakenly awakens the spirit of Chef Death.

The next day all the friends plan on going to Miss Johnson’s party at her house where Chef Death picks off each person one by one until the ultimate fight. Who will live? Who will die? Does anyone really care at this point?

Overall Bikini Bloodbath: Car Wash is kind of a mix bag. I appreciate the kills even though they aren’t that great and cheesy. The soundtrack is pretty good. I could listen to it. But the acting and characters are so bad. The characters are so dumb that you have to suspend belief. Even some of the humor is kind of hit or miss. There’s this ongoing joke that one of the girls is fat, but she’s not. It gets old pretty quickly.  It’s not so bad that I regret the 70 minutes watching it, but put it on if you're doing stuff and you need background noise. Though you may miss all the boobs shown. LOL

And now for your Forever Final Girl Exclusive…Did you know?:
